Lansdowne receives an award from the Aged Care Association Australia (ACAA)
Lansdowne Gardens today won the ACAA Award 2010 for Best Renovated Extra Service Facility. These awards are a showcase of the best Aged Care buildings in Australia demonstrating creative use of space, innovative design, innovative application of building materials and innovative application of building finish.
Lansdowne Gardens Highly Commended at the Australian Property Institute Awards
Lansdowne Gardens is proud to have received two highly commended awards at the Australian Property Institute NSW Excellence in Property Awards 2010 in the Office of the Valuer General Heritage and the LandMark White Property Development award categories.
William Cape Gardens celebrates its third anniversary
William Cape Gardens celebrated its third birthday recently with a FE-FC Holden Car Club Day and Family Funday and BBQ. Over 150 residents, staff and their families celebrated with a sausage sizzle, fun packed karaoke show, clowns and face painting for the children. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by residents.
The third anniversary cake was cut by Margaret Orr, Mildred Bercli and Betty Humphrey, three sisters and residents at William Cape Gardens. The FE-FC Holden Car Club was a hit all around. With residents reminiscing about cars of the past and the children enjoying the display.
Lansdowne Gardens wins Master Builders Association Award
Lansdowne Gardens is thrilled to have won the Master Builders Association Award for Aged Care Buildings at this year’s Housing Awards. Lansdowne Gardens along with the team from ADCO Constructions were there to receive the award which is a high profile event for the building industry.

Lansdowne Gardens Opens its Doors to Residents
We are very pleased to announce that on 29 March Lansdowne Gardens opened its doors to residents. Lansdowne Gardens is a leading facility in Australia, with state of the art technology, excellence in care and architectural superiority in its built form. Our first residents have moved in and are settling in well and we are looking forward to welcoming more residents in the coming weeks.
Lansdowne Gardens Hosts Cocktail Party for Neighbours
On Friday 26 March Lansdowne Gardens invited the local neighbourhood to pre-opening cocktails. It was a balmy March evening, so local residents were entertained on the lawn by a pianist while sipping champagne. Campbell Meldrum thanked residents for their patience during the construction process, “We are excited to introduce you to your new neighbours and we look forward to being part of the local community,” The locals were very impressed with the facility, which prior to construction had been a run-down boarding house. In particular they were impressed by the way in which the new building has been integrated into the three existing heritage buildings.

William Cape Gardens is thrilled to announce that it was a finalist in the Property Council of Australia, 2010 Innovation and Excellence Awards for Retirement Living Developments.
