    Lansdowne Gardens today won the ACAA Award 2010 for Best Renovated Extra Service Facility. These awards are a showcase of the best Aged Care buildings in Australia demonstrating creative use of space, innovative design, innovative application of building materials and innovative application of building finish.

    William Cape Gardens celebrates its third anniversary

    William Cape Gardens celebrated its third birthday recently with a FE-FC Holden Car Club Day and Family Funday and BBQ. Over 150 residents, staff and their families celebrated with a sausage sizzle, fun packed karaoke show, clowns and face painting for the children. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by residents.

    The third anniversary cake was cut by Margaret Orr, Mildred Bercli and Betty Humphrey, three sisters and residents at William Cape Gardens. The FE-FC Holden Car Club was a hit all around. With residents reminiscing about cars of the past and the children enjoying the display.

    Lansdowne Gardens Hosts Cocktail Party for Neighbours

    On Friday 26 March Lansdowne Gardens invited the local neighbourhood to pre-opening cocktails. It was a balmy March evening, so local residents were entertained on the lawn by a pianist while sipping champagne. Campbell Meldrum thanked residents for their patience during the construction process, “We are excited to introduce you to your new neighbours and we look forward to being part of the local community,” The locals were very impressed with the facility, which prior to construction had been a run-down boarding house. In particular they were impressed by the way in which the new building has been integrated into the three existing heritage buildings.
