Who is Cranbrook Care?

Cranbrook Care is the parent company which owns and manages our aged care and retirement living residences. The Cranbrook Care team has been operating in the industry since 2000.

Currently the aged care residences under our ownership and management are located at Bella Vista in The Hills, Abbotsford in the Inner West, Sydney’s Lower North Shore at Neutral Bay and the NSW Central Coast. Our luxury retirement living apartments in The Hills are co-located with the aged care residence.

Our Executive Leadership Team

Steve Bauer
Founder and Group Executive

Steve is a Founder and Group Executive of Cranbrook Care. He is responsible for financial management, strategic planning and property development. Steve has over 35 years of expertise in business and management, coupled with extensive experience in the building and property development sector. In 2000 Steve brought these skills to the aged care industry, combining state of the art aged care residences with excellence in care.

Kerry Mann
Executive Director

Kerry is an Executive Director and Chair of Cranbrook Care’s Approved Provider Governing Bodies. She is responsible for Cranbrook Care’s COVID-19 response, implementing aged care reforms at Cranbrook Care, and ensuring that Cranbrook Care’s residences are the home of choice and an employer of choice. Kerry has over 30 years’ experience in the health industry and holds a Masters in Business Administration. Kerry was Chief Executive Officer of Cranbrook Care for ten years and is currently Chair of Leading Aged Services Association (LASA) NSW/ACT) (the national peak body representing all providers of age services across residential care, home care and retirement living).

Marc Bauer
Group Executive

Marc is a Group Executive of Cranbrook Care Pty Limited. His role includes financial and strategic planning. Marc has experience in strategic acquisitions, feasibility assessment and overall project management of property developments. He was a partner for 14 years at Meridian International Capital Limited, a boutique capital asset financing firm. Marc holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics Degree in Actuarial Studies.

Gabrielle Bauer
Group Executive

As a Group Executive, Gabrielle is responsible for marketing and strategic projects for Cranbrook Care and the residences in the group. Gabrielle’s background is in strategic marketing, brand management, product development and project management. She has over fifteen years’ experience in the aged care industry and over twelve years’ experience in the finance industry. Gabrielle holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Finance) and a Masters of Commerce.

Edwina Bower
Group Executive

Edwina is a Group Executive of Cranbrook Care with over ten years’ experience in the aged care industry. Edwina’s focus is across systems and assets, collaborating with our teams to drive innovation and find creative solutions to enhance the care and service we offer our residents. She also works extensively on new developments and refurbishments of our residences. Edwina holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology and Spanish) and a Juris Doctor.

Lee Carissa
Chief Executive Officer

Lee directs all aspects of the business at the corporate level and at the residences. This includes strategic planning, financial management, property development, executive and residence management. Lee is a Registered Nurse and has worked in the aged care industry for over 30 years. Lee is passionate in ensuring Cranbrook Care is recognised and respected as a premier provider of quality residences in both care and lifestyle services.

Abinesh Krishnan Ram
Chief Financial Officer

Abinesh is responsible for the financial management and performance of Cranbrook Care whilst also providing strategic planning and risk management support to the business. Abinesh has over 24 years’ experience working in retirement living, aged care, real estate property investment and management including ASX listed companies. Abinesh holds a Bachelor of Business, is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Sarah Osborne
Group Operations Manager

Sarah is responsible for operationally supporting our Directors of Care Services, focusing on ensuring the care and services we provide our residents reflects residents’ choice and supports residents’ dignity and independence. Sarah is a Registered Nurse and has worked in the aged care industry for over 11 years. Sarah is committed to supporting our staff to ensure continued quality care and services are offered and provided to our residents.

Our team of highly skilled and experienced aged care professionals has been carefully selected for being the best in their area of expertise and their ability to provide excellence in care. We take pride in providing superior care and ensuring quality of life for each of our residents.

All staff employed by Cranbrook Care are trained to perform their roles in accordance with the Quality of Care Principles 2014 and the Aged Care Quality Standards.
