Lansdowne Gardens Officially Opened by Her Excellency the Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir

Residents, staff, family and friends gathered this afternoon to celebrate the official opening of Lansdowne Gardens by Her Excellency, Marie Bashir, Governor of NSW in a marquee set up on the Lansdowne Gardens Green. The Governor presented resident Vernon Hillman with an award for her contribution to the Community Spirit at Lansdowne Gardens and staff member, Shirley Govender received a staff award. Resident Margot Speyer then presented the Governor with flowers in appreciation of her attendance. Following the ceremony, champagne flowed and high tea was served. The Governor was taken on a tour and was very impressed with the facility.
